ABOUT US
What is Citizen Corps Council of Pierce County?
Citizen Corps Council of Pierce County (CCC-PC) is one of nearly 2,500 councils across the country that were created after the 9-11 attacks by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). We are a recognized 501c3 organization who works together carrying out missions prior to, during and after times of emergency and disasters.

Our Core functions are Prepare, Prevention, Respond, and Recover.

We offer training opportunities such as Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), Neighborhood Emergency Teams (PC-NET), and other emergency skills to connect you with established volunteer organizations such as Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), and HAM Radio (ARES). Participants gain skills in disaster first aid, psychological first aid, and how to work in an emergency operations center.
We also recognize the desire of community members to reach out and volunteer to support local emergency responders, disaster relief efforts, and community safety. Faith-based and non-profit organizations, businesses, and individuals work side by side with government agencies to plan for an organized response to help the needs of our community following disasters.
